Sweetlife Festival - 2015

As a proud resident of the DMV, it's my right to geek out over Sweetlife Festival. This year marks this sweet festival's five year anniversary and the line-up is a buffet of goodness. Besides the juicy performers (which I'll get to in just a sec) Sweetlife has expanded to a two day festival; basically more music for our festival depleted souls.

Clearly I'm beyond stoked to see the massive headliners like The Weeknd, Calvin Harris and Kendrick Lamar on my home field, clearly....but there are some other artists in the mix that have me freakin' out.

Not so secretly, I've listed out the songs that my ears would love to hear live. Specifically Tove Lo's Like Em Young since that is my current dating anthem, Allen Stone's Satisfaction would give me goosies, Vance Joy's RipTide would have me doing a little jig, and Bank's Waiting Game would make me feel like a bad bitch. St. Paul and The Broken Bones retro-sound has got me intrigued so I'll definitely be checking out their set. And honestly, I don't know much about HOLYCHILD but I'm feeling Happy With Me and Money All Around.

SonReal

SonReal

Somewhere on the mean streets of Vancouver, a love child that has lyrical DNA traces of J.Cole and Mac Miller was born. His given name is Aaron Hoffman but as SonReal he has procreated polished flows such as For the Town, Everywhere We Go, and Preach. Basically, I'm obsessed so give him a listen.

I'M TRYING TO GET OVER YOU, BUT IT'S NOT THAT EASY PLAYLIST

This is the I'm Trying To Get Over You, But It's Not That Easy Playlist.
We've all been there, the toxic back and forth unknown that takes up way too much of the mind's capacity. We want nothing more that to have zero memory of that person OR curse the day we met them OR we feel like days, months, maybe years were wasted.
It's not easy, give yourself some adequate grovel time then remember that the sea is deep and wide.

Or follow the links below to watch the music videos

Raleigh Ritchie - Stronger Than Ever (seriously this music video is soooooo dope, check it out)
Nick Jonas - Numb (yup, I just included a Nick Jonas song. Give it a solid listen. It's good)
